Hemophilia Community is Impacted by the Loss of Lynn Menza, PNP

October 27, 2017

General News

It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report that Lynn Menza, PNP, has unexpectedly passed away.

Lynn has been a part of the Children’s/Kaleida family for more than three decades, initially as a nurse, then as trusted nurse practitioner in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, including her current role of providing care to the children and adolescents in the Sickle Cell & Hemoglobinopathy Center of Western New York.

Lynn worked for over twenty years serving the pediatric patients of the Hemophilia Center of Western New York. She accompanied many HTC patients to Camp High Hopes, a hemophilia summer camp and trained many parents and children for home therapy. She also worked closely with our social worker facilitating the Parent’s Support Group.

Well-loved by patients, families, and her fellow colleagues, Lynn brought a tremendous wealth of hematology experience to the bedside. This, coupled with a warm smile allowed her to brighten and improve the lives of hundreds of children with hemophilia and other bleeding and clotting disorders.

She will be missed. Many condolences to her friends and family at this sad time. More information on Lynn's services can be found HERE.
